Directions to Pinewood Prep, 1114 Orangeburg Rd., Summerville, SC 29483

From Charleston take I-26 West towards Columbia.

Take exit 199A - Summerville. 

     **Note: To avoid going thru Summerville, you can go 5 miles further on I-26 and take exit 194 (see below)

This is 17-A south or Main St.

Continue into town 2 miles until the railroad tracks.

At the first light after the railroad tracks (West Richardson Ave.) take a right.

On West Richardson go to the next light (Cedar St.) and take a left.

Cedar Street turns into Central Avenue.

Continue on Central Ave. for about 2 miles.

On the left there will be a Kangaroo Gas Station.

1/2 mile past the gas station the road will fork.

At the fork bear right onto Butternut Road.

Go past Congressional Blvd. (entrance to Pine Forest) to Orangeburg Rd.

Take a right onto Orangeburg.  Pinewood Prep is on the right.  The courts are behind the school.  Take a right after the main building on Oak Willow Lane.  The parking lot is on the right behind the school.

 

**Note: From I-26, take exit 194 toward Jedburg.  Turn left onto SC-16.  This becomes Jedburg Rd., which becomes Mallard Rd.  (You will see a blinking light at a Hess/Kangaroo intersection -- go straight, cross a railroad track, go another 1.2 miles.)  Turn left onto Orangeburg Rd. (blinking light).  Pinewood Prep School is 1 mile on the left.

 

OR 

From West Ashley, take Hwy 61 approx. 11 miles from Bees Ferry Rd.

Take a right onto SC-165 (Bacons Bridge Rd.) towards Summerville.

At the next light (1.5 miles) take a left onto Dorchester (SC-642).  Turn right at the next light (.5 miles) onto Orangeburg Rd.

On Orangeburg Rd., go 3.5 miles to Pinewood Prep on the right (Landmarks on Orangeburg  include passing 3 lights at 17A/Boone Hill, Embassy Dr., and Central Ave., large stop sign with blinking light at Butternut intersection -- go straight)
