CALTA 2008 Luncheon Photo Album

On the day before, our Board members met for lunch in Omar's Grill Room . . .

one last planning session (Nancy's behind the camera) . . .      

and then moved into the auditorium to decorate.

                     They came in early on the big day to set up the door prize table

                                (a pyramid of tennis note pads for two lucky winners at each team table)

and the 12 raffle tables . . . .  over 100 items (all for the benefit of our Junior Recognition Program!). 

The team table centerpieces were embroidered black thermal tubs -- presents for our team captains. 

             The theme clearly was COLOR !!!!      

This year every one of our 720 members received a beautiful CALTA tennis towel in one of 4 colors --

                                                                                  fuchsia, lime, yellow, turquoise. 

  And everyone attending the luncheon also received one of our valuable CALTA coupon packs.

                The room looked very festive as our members arrived. 

They chatted . . . bought raffle tickets . . . decided which bags to put their tickets into . . .      

 "Here's what we want to win!"

                                . . . and surveyed the buffet tables.

Everyone agreed the food was delicious . . . something for every taste  . . .

there were cold soups, a large salad bar, sandwiches, sliced meats/cheeses with rolls,

fruit with yogurt dip, pasta salad and yummy desserts.

After the door prize winners found the tickets under their chairs and

claimed their prizes (as the pyramid collapsed!),

the division coordinators were introduced and were thanked for their hard work this year. 

Each coordinator announced the three winning teams in her division. 

As each team was announced, there was loud enthusiastic celebrating . . . very well deserved!  

And each winning team went to the "Winners' Circle" to have its photo taken for this album (see below).

The awards this year were leather bag tags -- a first for CALTA.
