2023 CALTA Team Photos

At the end of our 2022-2023 season, the coordinators
distributed to our 53 teams the member gifts and
captain gifts -- and award tags for the winning teams.

In response to requests over the years,
our member gift was an updated version of the
clip-on eyeglass case that our members received
in 2007 (a long time ago!) with a
CALTA-imprinted cleaning cloth inside --
an item that is useful also off the court!

For the captains, the "thank you" gift for their hard work
throughout our long season was a tennis-logo car seat cover --
an item that was also a gift in 2016 and again requested
by some past recipients, either because the first one
wore out or "it's just really nice to have two."
Here's a photo received from a captain with the comment
"best gift ever" ...
much better than the sports towel she was sitting on!

And bragging rights forever ...
a bag tag (double-sided acrylic) for each player
on the "top" teams in each division.

We asked our captains to send in
their season-end team and party photos.

In addition to the team celebrations pictured here,
there was a special season-end event at Wild Dunes.
The morning of  the final home match for Div.5 WLD started
with a surprise for the captain -- a plaque recognizing
her leadership of CALTA since its inception in 2000.

Clayton, WD's Director of Tennis, made some
touching and meaningful comments about friendships
formed on the court -- which is what CALTA is all about!

Linda would like to take this opportunity to express her
gratitude to all the Board members, division coordinators,
captains and co-captains, and team members who have been
so supportive over the years and have contributed to making
CALTA such a meaningful part of our lives ...

Let's keep on playing and partying in 2023-2024!
